At Moto Solutions, we work every day with automotive and heavy-duty shops across Canada. We see firsthand how important skilled technicians are to keeping fleets, dealerships, and repair facilities moving. That’s why supporting technical education (especially at the local level) is something we genuinely care about.
Recently, Moto Solutions donated a fully serviced Ammco 4000 Brake Lathe package to the automotive program at Uxbridge Secondary School. The equipment will be used by students in the shop program, giving them hands-on experience with the same type of brake machining equipment used in professional repair facilities.

The donation was made in partnership with Shane Hollingshead, automotive technology teacher at Uxbridge Secondary School, who works closely with students to build practical skills and introduce them to careers in the skilled trades. Pictured alongside the machine is Alex Burrows, President of Moto Solutions.
“Hands-on learning makes a huge difference,” said Burrows. “We’ve built our business by supporting repair shops and technicians across the country. If we can help students get real exposure to industry-standard equipment early on, that’s a win for everyone.”

Having access to professional-grade equipment allows students to develop confidence, improve technical understanding, and gain experience that better prepares them for apprenticeships, co-op placements, or post-secondary training in the automotive trades.
Moto Solutions believes that investing in education is an investment in the future of the industry. Supporting local schools is one small way we can give back to the community that has supported our growth over the years.
We’d like to thank Uxbridge Secondary School and Shane Hollingshead for the opportunity to support their program and look forward to continuing to find ways to strengthen technical education across our communities.
